TW

You copied it ten minutes ago. Now you are back in the email, scrolling to find it again.

Windows keeps only the last thing you copied. Copy anything else, and the first is gone.

It does not have to work that way. Double-tap Alt, type any word that was in it, and press Enter. It is pasted where you were typing.

Nothing you copy leaves your PC. Twice: clipboard history for Windows 11, free.

01What you get

Twice, in three moves.

  • Find it

Type any word, in any order. Matches are highlighted, and the whole clip is shown with its source app and age.

  • Paste it

Enter pastes into the window you were in. Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+9 paste the first nine at once.

  • Keep it

The last 500 copies stay across restarts. Pinned clips stay on top and never expire. Delete one by mistake and Ctrl+Z brings it back.

Nothing leaves your PC. Activating Pro checks your key once; nothing you copy is ever sent. Copies that password managers mark private are never recorded.

02The free option

Windows has a clipboard history too. Here is what it does not do.

Press Win+V: it is off until you turn it on, keeps 25 items, has no search, can miss copies from slow apps, and clears unpinned items when you restart.

Twice searches every word, keeps 500 clips across restarts and pastes back where you were typing.

Win+V: Microsoft Support, “Using the clipboard”.

03Proof

What is true today.

  • Fast: about 0.4 seconds from the second Alt to the paste, the middle of 40 timed pastes from a full history of 500.
  • Light: at rest, after its window closes, Twice uses 3 to 4 MB of memory.
  • One file on your PC holds the history, encrypted.

Early adopter notes appear here as they come, each with the price its author paid, favourable or not: how notes are published.

05Limits

What it does not do yet.

Twice is new. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows shows a blue SmartScreen box the first time it runs (More info, then Run anyway).

Three limits are stated, not hidden. Text only: images and files are not kept. Windows only, with no sync to another PC or a phone. Screen readers cannot read the window yet; Win+V is the accessible choice today.

Version 3.0.0, checked on 4 November 2026.

06FAQ

Questions before buying.

Does it work offline?
Yes. Activating Pro checks your key once, online. After that Twice never connects, and nothing you copy is ever sent.
What about passwords?
Copies that password managers mark private, or that ask Windows not to keep them, are never recorded. Pause recording from the tray menu.
Where is the Pro key after buying?
Three steps. Open your Polar purchases page (the link is in your receipt) and copy the key. Download Twice. In the tray menu, choose Activate Pro and paste the key.
Which Windows?
Twice is built for Windows 11. No other version is claimed, and it is Windows only.
Images and files?
Not yet. Twice keeps text only.
